In the years 2020-2025, FAAM was directly funded by the founder Precious Child. For situational initiatives such as the LA Fires, heat waves, monsoons, Precious would do one-off Gofundmes to help relieve people from dire circumstances.
For 2026 we have decided to modestly expand the group in both volunteers and improve the consistency, sustainability, and scope of services that we provide. Accordingly, we sought and are now able to accept tax deductible donations (501c3). We functionally have nonprofit status via our partnership with A Well Fed World.

We accept Credit Cards, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, and US Bank Transfer.
If you would like your donation to support a specific expense or goal, please write us a comment in the donation submission indicting your direction.

At this time, the entirety of your donation goes towards weekly operating expenses and supplies. These include
Gas and vehicle expenses to get to the unhoused individuals where they reside.
Packaged food - energy bars, fruit, nuts
Sandwiches - PB&J, Vegan Banh Mi, Falafel sandwiches
Encampment hot meals
Bottled Water
Additional fundraising goals include:
Walled pop-up canopy for onsite First Aid
Seating, table, portable supply cabinet, waste disposal for First Aid
Signage (FAAM First Aid sign, FAAM Meals sign)
Training materials and volunteer certification
At this time, FAAM operates out of volunteer residences and public spaces. We would love to have a fixed physical location such as an office or a small warehouse for the following:
Supply storage: We have done numerous clothing and supply drives and sorting and storing everything is a real challenge.
Meal preparation area with refrigeration
Volunteer briefing and training
Outreach staging and centralized communication base
Post-outreach debriefing and group discussion
Mapping and survey data analytics to detect trends in the client population. For instance, tracking the efficacy of city programs at ground level.
